Mason Crane gets England Call-up

England selectors have called-up Worthing and Hampshire leg-spinner Mason Crane as part of the 16-man squad to face South Africa in a three match Twenty20 series, starting at the Ageas bowl this coming Wednesday. Still only 20 years old, this is a wonderful achievement for Mason and we wish him every success as his career reaches this new level.

Mason has been a member of Worthing Cricket Club since the age of 10, playing all of his junior and senior club cricket here at the Manor Ground. While achieving junior county honours with both Sussex and Hampshire, he continued to enjoy success at WCC being part of our double winning U16s Sussex Festival side in 2011 and 2012, and our U18s County Championship side of 2014. During his time at WCC he also claimed 54 wickets for the 1st XI before his county duties at Hampshire took hold of his playing career.

Good luck from all of us at Worthng Cricket Club.
